Virgin Voyages Cruise Deals: What to Know Before You Book | Don and Diana’s Travels

Virgin Voyages Cruise Deals: What to Know Before You Book

Virgin Voyages is not built like a typical cruise line. Every sailing is for adults only. You must be at least eighteen to sail. There are no kids clubs, no formal nights, and no extra fees for specialty restaurants. Every restaurant on board is part of the fare.

This guide covers the ships, what is really included, the destinations, and what to check before you book.

Cruise lines update ships, packages, and pricing often. We do our best to keep this accurate, but details here may not reflect the very latest changes. Always confirm current details on Virgin Voyages’ site before booking.

The Fleet: Four Ships, All Adults-Only

Virgin Voyages runs four ships. Scarlet Lady was the first. Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady came next. Brilliant Lady is the newest ship. It launched in September 2025. All four ships are close in size and style. Each one has a modern design and a lively, social feel.

Every sailing on every ship is for guests eighteen and older only. No kids are allowed on board at all. This rule holds across the whole line, not just a few sailings.

What Is Actually Included

Virgin Voyages includes more than most big cruise lines. Every restaurant on board is part of the fare. There are more than twenty of them, and none charge an extra fee. Basic drinks are part of the fare too, like soda, water, coffee, tea, and juice. WiFi and group fitness classes are also part of the fare. WiFi speed can depend on which fare type you pick.

Tips work differently here than older ads might suggest. As of 2026, tips are billed as a separate daily charge per person. They are not folded into the fare on their own. Alcohol, shore trips, and spa visits also cost extra. A bar tab add-on is available if you want drinks covered ahead of time. It runs around thirty-five dollars per person per day. Check current fare details and what each tier includes before you book.

Fare type affects what is included, from WiFi speed to dining reservation windows. Compare your options directly on Virgin Voyages’ site before you book.

Dining Without Upcharges

This is one of the biggest differences between Virgin Voyages and other lines. There is no main dining room and no set dining times. Instead, every restaurant is treated as a specialty venue. There are more than twenty of them, and every one is included in your fare. You choose where and when to eat, with no extra bill at the end of the meal.

Where Virgin Voyages Sails

Caribbean sailings from Miami are the most common. Stops include Bimini, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Puerto Plata, and Key West. Mediterranean sailings run from Barcelona, with stops in Ibiza, Marseille, Sardinia, and Mallorca. Longer repositioning voyages cross the Atlantic with stops in Lisbon and Bermuda.

Virgin Voyages has also expanded to the West Coast. Sailings through the Panama Canal now connect to Los Angeles, Mexico, and Seattle. Alaska is a newer addition to the route map as well. Browse current destinations and sailing dates to see what fits your plans.

Entertainment and the Onboard Vibe

Virgin Voyages leans into nightlife more than most lines. Expect live shows, themed parties, and late-night entertainment built for an adult crowd. The overall feel is closer to a boutique hotel than a traditional cruise ship. Cabin design is modern, and the atmosphere stays social and lively throughout.

Tips Before You Book

Confirm your fare tier before booking

WiFi speed and dining reservation windows can vary by fare type. Check exactly what your specific fare includes before you pay.

Budget separately for tips and alcohol

These are not automatically folded into every fare anymore. Add them to your budget so the final cost does not surprise you.

Book early if you want specific dining times

There are more than twenty restaurants and no assigned dining room. Popular reservation times can fill up. Book your must-try restaurants early in the cruise.
